Happy St Patrick’s Day

Annalea and Marina at their school musical

Welcome to Ireland for the best weekend of the year for fun and festivities! I hope you all get out and really embrace the Irish culture this weekend. It’s sure to be great craic and a great atmosphere, so here’s a link to see what events are happening from the 16th until the 19th of March, so get involved! 😊

Home – St. Patrick’s Festival 2023 (stpatricksfestival.ie)

Did You Know? St Patrick was British and was born in the year 386. He was captured at the age of 16 by pirates and was brought to Ireland where he was sold as a slave.

Fun Fact: It is believed that St Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland, but that is in fact a myth and that snakes never actually existed here 😉

We can’t wait to hear all about your fun weekend, and we hope that you all go and see the St Patrick’s Day parade. It begins at midday from opposite our school here at ISI, so make sure to get down early 😊

We look forward to seeing all your photos and hearing about your first St Patrick’s day in Ireland, and remember to stay safe and look out for each other.

In the meantime, here’s a collection of photos from the past week, so we hope you enjoy 😊 Special shout out to all the students that went on their TY ball last week. You all looked amazing and we heard nothing but great things, so well done!

Have fun and enjoy the long weekend!

From all of us here on the High School Team,

Aimee, Bruna, Maebh and Sarah
