Application Process<\/h1>

Step 1<\/h3>\n\t

\n\t\t\t

The parent or agent completes the Preliminary Enquiry Form<\/a> or sends an email enquiry to our office with a short profile of the student including their name, age, date of birth, interests (hobbies, sports and subjects they like) and the kind of school they would like, e.g. State or Private, Mixed or Single Gender, Dublin or Countryside etc.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t

Based on this information ISI Dublin will suggest 1-2 suitable schools or students and their parents will select their preferred schools from our brochure.\u00a0 Students can give us as many preferences as they wish.\u00a0 While we usually secure a place in one of the preferred schools, we cannot guarantee this.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Step 3<\/h3>\n\t

\n\t\t\t

Once the parent, student (and\/or agent) are satisfied with these options, and would like to proceed, we will request a full application. This must include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Completed ISI application form Parts 1 – 7<\/li>\n
  • 2 Passport Photos<\/li>\n
  • Copy of EHIC Card (EEA students) or Private Medical Insurance (non-EEA students)<\/li>\n
  • Copy of student\u2019s passport<\/li>\n
  • Recent school reports (2 years) \u2013 original copy and a copy translated into English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

    Confirmation of place<\/h3>\n\t

    \n\t\t\t

    Places will be 100% confirmed after the Easter holidays in the year prior to entry. Therefore, if a student has applied to start in Term 1, their place will be 100% confirmed in the weeks after the Easter break, approximately 8-12 weeks prior to arrival. If the application is received after Easter, places will be confirmed as soon as possible but this process can take 3-4 weeks. ISI will be able to advise late applications of a reasonable timeframe for confirmation. Applications for Term 2 and Term 3 places should be made 4-6 weeks in advance and placements will be confirmed as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

    Invoicing & Payment<\/h3>\n\t

    \n\t\t\t

    Once a place has been confirmed, we will send an invoice for the full programme fees. These must be paid in full in advance and a minimum of 4 weeks prior to arrival. Some private schools will require a deposit payment before a place can be confirmed, ISI will advise applicants of this individually. Non-EU applicants who need to apply for a visa will need to pay in full on receipt of the invoice so that confirmation documents can be issued in advance. All direct (non-agents) applications must pay a 50% deposit on confirmation of a place. Applications via an agency require a 10% deposit.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

    Confirmation & arrival documents<\/h3>\n\t

    \n\t\t\t

    Once full fees have been paid, ISI will confirm final documents 4 weeks prior to arrival. These include Host Family & Transfer Details and a Student & Parent Guide.
