Lá Fhéile Pádraig 2022!

For the first time in 3 years, we finally got to celebrate St Patrick’s Day once again. It’s been a tough couple of years with Covid so was great to see the famous St Patrick’s parade return to our streets once again. With the sun shining and the daffodils out in full bloom, we’re finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel and brighter days ahead of us once more.

Did You Know? St Patrick was British and was born in the year 386. He was captured at the age of 16 by pirates and was brought to Ireland where he was sold as a slave.

Fun Fact: It is believed that St Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland, but that is in fact a myth and that snakes never actually existed here.

As we’re nearly approaching the end of March, we now look forward to what ISI have got lined up for the Easter break! While some of you might be returning home for the holidays, most of you are staying in Ireland to explore some more. Here is what we have lined up for the break as it stands above 😊

Don’t forget that the clocks go forward on Sunday morning this weekend. Be great to have the extra hour in the evening and longer days in general.

We hope you all have a great weekend, and all of us on the high school programme look forward to seeing you over the Easter break 😊

Hope you enjoy the photos that were sent into us this week.

From the high school team.
