High School Programme Ambassador \u2013 Lilli, Germany<\/h2>\n

Mid-Term Breaks in Irish High Schools<\/h2>\n

I\u2019m in fourth year, which is the transition year in Ireland. A \u201ctransition year\u201d is a programme which offers a unique opportunity where schools and communities can collaborate to encourage young people to thrive now and into their future. I recently have had my midterm break which is a one-week holiday in the middle of the first term of the school year. ISI organised a trip to the \u201cCliffs of Moher\u201d, even if you\u2019ve never heard of those, you\u2019ve for sure seen pictures of them. They are the famous cliffs that come to mind when you think of Ireland, they\u2019re also one of the first few pictures that pop up if you google \u201cIreland\u201d.\u00a0 I have had the chance to see them and it was an experience of a lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Trip to Cliffs of Moher with ISI<\/h2>\n

I got up fairly early at 4 am to get to the Savoy cinema, which was our meeting point to take the tour bus which brought us all the way to the cliffs and back. Our journey was exceptionally long, about four to five hours to get there and back. We made a stop in Galway, which was lovely and amusing. My friends and I walked around the streets, went into a bookshop, and enjoyed the music the locals made on the streets. We were in Galway for about an hour and then continued our journey. The views on the mountain we had to drive up to get to the cliffs were amazing. The closer we got to the cliffs the more mist was in the air. We made our way to the museum as soon as we got out of the bus but didn\u2019t stay there for long because we were all extremely excited to see the cliffs. It was very foggy, which made it hard to see the cliffs, nevertheless, it was still amazing and just breathtaking as well. We had our lunch on one of the benches and eventually got back to the bus and made our way home.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
