As the dark evenings are really beginning to draw in, I bet you are all wondering where the time has gone? It feels like only yesterday that you arrived to embark on this adventure!
The high school programme team have been keeping in contact with all of you and hearing how school is going, and what you’ve been getting up to in your free time. We have a lot of sports enthusiasts on the programme this year! Elisabeth Heye has been busy at the badminton club after school, Rebecca Conte is enjoying being part of the school volleyball team, Lennart Frenkel is hoping to join his local soccer team, Yara Linne is trying her hand at gaelic football, Carolina Mann is training with her local water-polo team and Julius Rost is thinking about joining his local basketball club! Well done everyone! This is such a great way to immerse yourself into life in Ireland, gain more confidence AND make lots of new friends!
We also have some interest in music! Hannes Richter is conitnuing to persue his oboe practice while in Ireland, the 4th year students at Malahide Community School have the opporutnity to take part in the school’s production of “Chicago” the musical, and Rebecca Bergau is considering auditioning for a part in Manor House School’s production of “Hairspray”! This is all really exciting and sounds like lots of fun! Keep it up, guys!
It’s not all fun and games, though! Johann Freitag has been having some class tests this week in 5th year at St. Tiernan’s, and Annalena de Sanctis has also been studying hard for her classroom assessments in 5th year at St. Finian’s. Good luck all!
