Christmas in Dublin

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are well, keeping warm in this cold weather and getting out and about to enjoy the build up to Christmas in Dublin. For some of you it will be your last chance to experience an Irish Xmas so If you really want to get in the Xmas spirit and maybe pick up a few typically Irish gifts for your family and friends back home, we have some yuletide suggestions. So, grab a few friends and get yourself to these fun free events:

The Stillgarden Xmas Market @ the Liberties in Dublin city a two-day event showcasing handmade skincare, unique arts/ crafts and homewares.

The Botanic gardens Xmas market with up to 70 different stalls varying from food and drink to festive gifts and goodies.

The Farmleigh house and estate Xmas craft fair hosts a series of Xmas markets and events over the 1st three weekends of December, with lots of interesting Xmas fare. On your way home you might even get to see the herds of fallow deer that roam freely in the park (awaiting the call from Santa) it’s a pretty magical site at this time of year.

Dublin Castle Xmas market has more than 30 stalls selling all manner of Xmas goods, food and drinks galore and some live entertainment to keep you in the Xmas mood.

If you want something a little more vintage, checkout Le Zeitgeist Flea Market in Phibsborough, it has a resident DJ, food / drinks over 100 stalls indoor/ outdoor, it’s a treasure-trove and you never know what wonderful pieces you might find.

Finally, our end of year ISI Christmas party is taking place at our Parnell St College on Wednesday 13th December all are welcome so dust off your Xmas Jumper or Hat (prizes for the most festive) bring your Xmas spirit, enjoy some lovely food / drinks with Xmas tunes dancing is optional but advised!!   . For those of you leaving the programme it will be a chance to say goodbye so make sure to pop in for a visit.
