The sea breeze, the sound of the waves, and the charm of Howth made my first adventure as exchange student in Ireland unforgettable.

Hi! I’m a 16-year-old girl and am doing an exchange year in Dublin, Ireland and welcome to my blog. Today I’d like to talk about the first trip I did when coming to Dublin: A trip to Howth, that I did with my exchange sisters.
From Dublin to Howth
To arrive at Howth, we took the dart. It was simple and fast, but during the ride there you could see the beautiful blue. I just felt excited at that point. When we got closer to Howth you could also see a pretty Island in the water.
Once we got out of the train you could smell the sea. From right outside the train station, we could see the haven.
Exploring Howth as an exchange student
For the rest of the day, we explored Howth. We found a small market not far from the train station. We really enjoyed it there. While we walked towards the haven, we discovered another small market with arts and crafts.
Towards lunchtime, we walked to the haven, looking at the boats and some artists performing on the streets. After spending some time there, we walked back towards the Island. As we did that, we saw some seals in the water between the ships and boats. They were very cute.
In the afternoon we walked along the beach and to the lighthouse. The wind there was very strong, but the sun shone, so it was still very nice. From there you could see the island in the water even better.
Before going home, we took a walk through the suburbs. As we walked through them, we saw a ruin of a church.
I hope you liked the blog 🙂
