Ireland has a long-established education system and offers international students the opportunity to experience secondary school in an English-speaking environment. ISI Dublin’s High School Programme supports students through school placement, accommodation and guardianship while they study in an Irish secondary school.


Младший цикл

Years 1 to 3. Typical age: 12-15

Junior Cycle covers the first three years of secondary education. Students take a broad range of subjects, with English and Mathematics forming part of the core programme for overseas students.


Переходный год

Year 4. Typical age: 15-16

Transition Year is a less exam-focused bridge between Junior and Senior Cycle. It gives students broader subject exposure and commonly includes practical activities and work-experience opportunities. It is often particularly suitable for international students.


Старший цикл

Years 5 and 6. Typical age: 16-18

Senior Cycle leads to the Leaving Certificate. Overseas students normally take at least six subjects, including English and Mathematics.


Placement note: School year and subject availability depend on the individual school and acceptance of the application. ISI Dublin cannot guarantee a particular year placement or subject combination before the school confirms the place.
