Accommodation options

We use a select group of friendly host families who are all very experienced in welcoming international students into their home. All families are inspected by ISI Dublin and are Garda (Police) vetted.

Host family accommodation allows the student to experience at first hand, Irish family life and culture. The student will be placed in a home that suits their individual needs and requirements.

• Selected and inspected by ISI Dublin staff and Garda (Police) vetted.
• Host families are normally within walking distance or a short bus commute to the high school.
• ISI staff is available anytime to help students with any questions or concerns they may have.
• Shared or single room depending on the programme and booking, with full board meals.
• Christmas accommodation is not included; students must return home during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Many private schools offer Boarding House accommodation which allows overseas students to live in a caring and supportive environment, where there are plenty of opportunities to make friends and take part in lots of recreational activities.

• 2 – 6 students per dormitory.
• 5-day or 7-day boarding depending on the school, with host family accommodation where required by the programme.
• Full board meals provided.
• Live-in boarding staff available at all times.
• Medical staff available.
• Evening study periods and a wide variety of extra-curricular activities.
• Where the boarding house closes, students may stay with an ISI host family as provided by the programme, except at Christmas and New Year when students must return home.
