Beautiful words from our Italian student Beatrice Adami

From our Italian student Beatrice Adami’s final thought on her experience studying in Ireland.

“We arrived at the last paragraph of these four months.
I don’t even know where to start.
When having such a life changing experience it’s hard to summarise everything.
Before coming here, or before even deciding to do this, I thought about everything but the coming back to Italy. Now that I have to face this reality, I’m realizing how lucky I was to end up exactly how I ended up, because I know it’s going to be quite difficult. I have my life here, my friends, my routine and my favorite places. I’ve made loads of memories and I know Ireland will be a common destination of mine in future. But still, I’ll never live the life I have here.
It’s crazy how much I learned in four months, not only about English, but also abou life itself.
I’m glad to have met the people that now I consider my friends; I’m glad to have been with my wonderful host mom Nathasha, because without her meaningful words I would have never gone through some situations; I’m glad to have built such a strong connection with my host sister, with whom I shared so much and I’ll always do; and finally, I’m glad to have seen all those beautiful places that Ireland has to offer.
So, yes, it will be so difficult to just leave everything in a few hours, but I’d rather look back at my life and think “I can’t believe that I did that” instead of saying “I wish I did that”. I understood that being an exchange means letting your heart be divided into several little pieces and let them be taken to every corner of the world, hoping that one day you will meet again.
I arrived here four months ago, and I’ll leave as a different, better person.”

We hope these inspiring words encourage you to take the leap and begin an unforgettable adventure with us in Ireland.
