🌞🌻 Summer is Coming! 🌻🌞

Diana Anikina and Lea Rebekka Scholz at Bray Head

Term 3 is in full swing and the time is well and truly flying! Many of you are preparing for your end of year summer exams, some are preparing for State Exams (Leaving Certificate) and some of you are preparing some end of year Transition Year projects to present to your teachers and classmates.

I hope that with that, you are feeling confident and are well prepared for what is to come in the next couple of weeks. We would like to remind you all that if you feel you need some additional supports or advice coming up to this end of year period to please reach out to your coordinator, we would be glad to help you over the final hurdle!

In saying this, here at ISI we like to work hard and party harder 😉 So we have planned a lovely “End of Year” party for all of you. This will be a great opportunity for you all to gather for a final time, in one of ISI’s office in Meeting House Lane, share memories from your time here and get to have some treats and laughs along the way! See the poster below for the details 😊

With the warmer, sunny days and long summer nights approaching there are plenty of activities to get involved in. This weekend, on Saturday 6th of May there will be an event held called “Darkness into Light”. People all over Ireland will walk, run, cycle, swim, whatever way they prefer, at 04:15am on Saturday morning, through to see the sunrise. This event is run in aid of a great cause, an organisation called Pieta House. Pieta was established to provide free, accessible support to people affected by suicide and self-harm. Pieta offers a variety of supports to people impacted by these issues, completely free of charge. They do fantastic work for people all over the country. If you’d be interested in registering to do ther walk, you can still do so on the website below. If you’d prefer to donate to show your support, you can do that too. https://www.darknessintolight.ie/

This week we have received so many great photos from you all, as you try to squeeze in as many activities as you can into your last few weeks. Should anyone need any more suggestions of places to go, things to see, in Dublin or in Ireland, don’t be afraid to get in touch! We’d be more than happy to help 😊

With that, we hope that you have a lovely weekend and a great week ahead.

From the high school team,

Aimee, Bruna, Maebh, Sarah
