Weekends in Italy vs. Ireland

October the fifth, what a day! I love sleeping t’ill late. In Italy during weekends, if I don’t have to study, I can even wake up at 12.30/13.00, but here I’m so excited of doing new things that I always get up early; as the idiom says: “the early bird gets the worm”. However, sometimes I need some rest too as I am not a superhero, so on Saturday I woke up at 11.30. My friends and I wanted to go to a vintage shop tour for a while and that day we finally managed to organised that.

Vintage Shops in Dublin

I had a very big brunch as it was too late to have breakfast, I got ready and I took the H1 with my Belgium host sister to get to the city centre. We arrived there at 2 o’clock and we went to the first vintage shop: “Dublin Vintage Shop” in Capel Street. It was really cool, it had clothes and jewels but particular objects too. After that we followed our plan and we went to the second one the third one: “Tola Vintage” and “Lucy’s Lounge”. The first one was more touristic but still cool, it even had a machine to take pictures. Lucy’s Lounge was absolutely my favourite though, the atmosphere was awesome and the place was really aesthetic. There were all kinds of clothes and Halloween costumes too. However, the most sweet things were two dogs sleeping on some couches in the shop that you could pet.

At 5 o’clock we met up with some Italian and Spanish boys we had met another time and we went to two more shops: “Nine crows” and “35 Vintage”. These two were more expensive, but with more particular clothes. Next time I would like to see some charity shops too, as I think you can find really good deals in those. After that we were all pretty hungry so we went to McDonald’s and we took a walk. When I finally got back home, I was pretty exhausted, but really happy about my day.
