Orientation is provided for all students on a day shortly after arrival , where you get to meet other ISI students and are given details regarding the programme/ your school/ public transport and a chance to ask any questions that you might have. You will meet your assigned coordinator on the day with whom you will have weekly contact.

It can vary depending on the school places availability at the time of application. Some students receive confirmations straightaway, and some others might have to wait until closer to travelling. School confirmation timing varies depending on the term and when the application is received. For Term 1 applications received before Easter, places are normally confirmed after the Easter holidays in the year prior to entry, approximately 8-12 weeks before arrival. Term 1 applications received after Easter can take around 3-4 weeks. For Term 2 or Term 3, applications should normally be made 4-6 weeks in advance and placement is confirmed as soon as possible. School placement depends on availability and acceptance, so ISI Dublin cannot guarantee a specific school or a fixed confirmation date. Please note school places are out of our control. The sooner you apply to the program, the more chance you will have of receiving your school place of choice.

We will send the host family confirmation details 2-3 weeks before you arrive in Ireland.

As soon as you get your school place confirmation, you can purchase your school uniform. You can order it online and get it delivered at ISI Dublin for collection when you arrive. This would be recommended. If you prefer to wait and order the uniform when you arrive in Ireland, that’s no problem.

All juniors are met at arrivals at Dublin airport and are transported to their host family, either by their host family themselves or by a designated ISI driver.

‘School holidays can depend on the year group and school you attend. Our team will communicate the dates of school holidays when you receive confirmation of your high school place.

Yes. Christmas accommodation is not included in the current High School Programme, and students must return home during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

No. All students are welcome to remain in Ireland for Easter and Midterm breaks.

The initial arrival and final departure transfers to and from Dublin Airport are included. Additional transfers outside the included arrival and departure dates, including Christmas travel, are charged separately.
